Electroweekend for radio amateurs

IQRF technology was introduced to radio amateurs at a weekend meeting in Prague. Under the auspices of the Czech Radio Club, the National Technical Museum and the OK QRP Club, 18 children aged between 8 and 16 participated in the Electroweekend. The children learned basics of IQRF wireless network, how to build the IQRF network in a few minutes and they saw data visualization using the IoT Starter Kit.

First International Workshop at Cracow University of Technology

Microrisc participated in two-days event at the Cracow University of Technology. The workshop was focused on international cooperation between universities and companies in High voltage and IoT fields. First International Workshop on Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering was great opportunity to meet a new business partner, share own experiences and competencies with other participants and established an existing relationship as well. Additionally during workshop participants had possibility see well-equipped laboratories of Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering and discuss common research and business topics. In the event participated representants of the schools and companies from Poland, Czech, Ukraine, and Germany.

MICRORISC, Protronix and IQRF Alliance partners of the O2 project Healthy school

Thanks to its structure and location, Smíchovská střední průmyslová škola (SSPŠ) was chosen as ideal for testing in difficult conditions of urban development and dense road traffic. "Sensors were installed in ten classes to permanently measure indoor air pollution levels through atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2), relative humidity and temperature values, and transmit these data 24 hours a day to the O2 internal system," says Petr Hájek, expert from O2. At the same time, two sensors were installed at the school to measure the level of air pollution through dust particles, and in some places outside the school windows, the noise level was also measured.

Ultimate Security of Wireless Networks is Coming with the New IQRF OS v4.00

O2 IT Services wants to improve the air quality at schools. Prague students will test the project.

O2 IT Services (O2 ITS), a subsidiary of O2 Czech Republic, is launching together with several partners the pilot project Smart City “Environment – Healthy school” in the area of air quality measurements. O2 ITS is attracting an attention to the issue of the optimal environment at schools and its impact on health and the focus of students and teachers. The project was launched in Frebruary this year and will last several months.

Researchers’ Night is an annual event in Hungary when universities and research centers are open to the public providing stimulating and interesting activities that offer a lot of fun until the late hours of the night. In this year’s event instructors at Obuda University created an interactive simulator that enabled visitors to use their smartphones and to control various features of an electric locomotive that is located just outside the main entrance of Kalman Kando Faculty of Electrical Engineering.

IQRF Alliance accelerates creation of smart cities

Intelligent intersections that aligns the green wave for rescuers, public car park, which itself will guide drivers to vacant parking lots or street lights automatically saving power during periods of low traffic. This seemingly sci-fi scenario does not belong to American movies, but to the real smart cities. The IQRF Alliance brought nearly 40 technological companies, universities and development centers together to address the future of smart cities and smart buildings at a meeting in Brno. Among the first smart cities a Czech City of Písek seems to be the number one.
 
The project “Smart City Písek” seeks to introduce modern information technologies into the daily regime of the city. Its representatives and the IQRF Alliance have agreed on the use of the technology IQRF as the main communication platform. This gives the city of Písek go ahead to become the first really intelligent city in the Czech Republic.
